Years Remaining
There is an aspect of countries with important oil reserves which seldom gets discussed, but I would think that it has an enormous impact on forward-thinking policy. We all talk about consumer and industrial demand, and we talk about proven and probable reserves, both rated by tons or tonnes or barrels per day or month or year.
But when you start rating countries by how much onger their own oil reserves are likely to last (at current rates of depletion) then you get an entirely differrent list and an entirely different point of view.
